I'm sorry, I have no information on the Thanksgiving program. I would suggest that you contact the Diner by phone and I am confident that they will help. At this point, you may be a little late.
Yes they serve a nice brunch.
Drink prices are pretty cheap. Bushwackers are $4 all day ever day. Wine is $3.50. $1 house draft, and several beers are $1.50. Mixed well drinks are $3.50. During happy hour, it is .50cents off wine and bottled beer that is not on special.
Hey there :-) we have never ordered to go from there, but I feel sure that they would. Everything we had to eat there last week was absolutely delicious!
I'm sure they do, if they dont I'm sure they'll make you one. It's a great restaurant. All the Staff is beyond pleasant, the Environment is Clean and Bright an amazing Atmosphere. Hope you enjoy. The Milk Shakes are amazing, but the cost is exuberant at about $8.00.
No. It's just The Diner. Excellent burgers!
Yes. I was told the rib eye is excellent!
Hi Tamera, the place with the $5 lunch burger on Wednesday is the SUNLINER Diner near The Hangout close to the beach. THE DINER is a restaurant near Tacky Jacks and The Brewery near Canal Rd.
Not sure about wings but best Bushwackers around for $4.
They have the best burgers. I get a reguler cheese burger everytime and they never seise to amaze my im always happy with my service. My glass is never empty and neither is my belly.😁
Hands down the worst dining experience of my life as far as customer service goes. I sat at the bar with two of my friends who had already ordered, however had not received their food yet. I waited Aprox 20 min before they got their food before I was even acknowledged. We had a pitcher of mimosas but I did not get a glass so I reached over the bar to get my own. When our server brought their food she didn’t say a word to me until she was about to walk away and said “oh did you want to order something”. I proceeded to tell her yes but I didn’t have a menu so I would jus take what they had. I didn’t get silverware or a napkin and now they are done eating and I just got my food. Will not be back because of the lack of attentiveness I have seen from the staff that walked Around and didn’t even ask if I needed anything
Amazing service. Delicious food cooked the way momma makes it.
We've only eaten breakfast at The Diner so we don't know about lunch or supper but we can say breakfast is excellent! The biscuits are good and the sausage gravy is not bad for restaurant gravy. Everything we've ordered has been good. We've been for breakfast twice and will return again.
Had a great breakfast at The Diner in Gulf Shores, Alabama this morning. Crab and Shrimp, Denver Omelettes, pancakes, home fries, all good. Fun, comfy decor. Service was a little laid back, read slow, even though they weren't slammed, but we were not in a rush, and it was with a smile. Had the Christmas tunes going already. Server had good personality, great recommendations. The Diner is definitely a good breakfast choice! Got 2 thumbs up from my youngest as well!
7pmon a Saturday is the busiest time I’ve ever been in the diner! No one answered when I called for 30 min to place a to go order, so I’m here now and the bartender is awesome taking my order under some extreme stress that he just can’t hide. I know my food will be worth it but wish tonight’s dinner could have been easier and not as time consuming. Just the answering of the phone would help on busy nights get a extra employee just to do things like that.
I vacationed in Gulf Shores for about 5 days, and out of those 5 days we ate here twice! That's how good it was. The food was delicious and with a good portion size. Prices were very good, not expensive. Service was also good. It can get really busy and the second time we had a little bit of a wait, but definitely worth the stop!!
Had the cheeseburger and fries. Large serving. Burger was juicy. Fries were nice and hot. The bun was a little soggy. Service was great. Restaurant was very busy and loud.
Don't judge a book by it's cover. The head chef here has decades of experience and it shows in the great quality of the food served here. Great steaks, awesome shrimp & grits and a huge burger are all favorites.
Service was through the roof! Very accommodating for a large party with 7 kids!! The manager even turned in a movie for the kids. Service was fast, food was good! 2 of us had the “jackpot” I think it was called. 3 patties topped with fried pickles, onion rings, cheese, onions tomato. Burger was just ok, topping were great. We would defiantly go back.
Nicest people and best food ever . The chef Steve was the best and friendly , we complimented his cooking and he came out to meet us , then invited us back for a special eggs Benedict breakfast which he picked up the tab. Love the place and the people . He referred to us as “his Long Island New York friends . “
First of all we loved the sign at the entrance! We are from Missouri. (South of STL area) We have been in the area for about 8 days , leaving tomorrow. This was the first time we went somewhere that I've been 100% satisfied with my meal. This is the first place we went that wasn't wall to wall seafood. It was so nice to have home style food. I had a hard time making a choice because I wanted several things. I chose the open faced beef with green beans. The green beans were amazing , it was all amazing. My son said the cheeseburger was amazing. My husband got a Gyro... whatever that is...idk I didn't even ask him what he thought because...who orders a gyro. Hahaha. We ended our meal with strawberry bread pudding. It was huge. And also amazing. Sorry for the excessive use of the word "amazing" . Five stars. Already recommended to the family back home. (They frequent the gulf shores area too)
Total experience was good, we had burgers, grits and shrimp, onion rings. The portions were big and satisfying. We had the coconut cake for dessert, yummmm!!!! I would give it 5 stars, but there was a strange smell in the back that I didn't like. Other than that it was a good experience!
Great place to eat when. Came down here for spring break and the place wasn't crowded. Simple and rustic atmosphere but with a down home and comfortable feel. The food was exceptional. Kids order pancakes and all had big smiles and full bellies. Service was very friendly and efficient. The eggs were perfectly cooked and came out with a perfect temperature. Bacon was crisp, hot and flavorful. The grits with my shrimp and grits were so creamy and buttery and the shrimp was cooked right. The shrimp and crab omelette was the best I ever had with the crab meat being flaky and sweet which is not easy to accomplish when cooked in an omelet but the chef did it masterfully. When your in the Gulf Shores look for the Diner, not to be confused with airliner diner.
Had dinner there this past week during our yearly beach trip. First time to visit and definitely NOT our last! Great atmosphere, food, and service! Great waitress and prompt service! Really great food food and even greater prices!
The Diner is awesome. We eat there at least 3 times a week. The food is great and the crab legs are the best in Gulf Shores.Steve and his staff are tops and when we head back up north we really miss going here.
Great foodThe service was great it was very busy as we left. I believe you may want to go early as to beat the crowd. The parking is a little tight but well worth the trip.i highly recommend the key lime pie.
Food was amazing!! The server was helpful, friendly and down home environment!!! Highly recommend!!
Really great food, the only reason for losing a star in my review is the fact that it is warm inside w he en hit outside. The server said the A/C at the restaurant didn't have the capacity to keep the place cool. Still great eats and service!
AMAZING Food from an AMAZING small town restaurant!!! So good we went 2 days in a row!! If you are ever in the area, we ALL loved the food and service and the owner/chef was wonderful both nights making us feel so welcome!!! Also heard he feeds the local firefighters and public service folks, God bless this man and his business!! On a scale on 1 to 10 this is a 12 for sure!! 👍💯❤
The atmosphere was a little odd, but the food was GREAT! My party of 6 all got different burgers and they were sooooo delicious! I’d definitely go back for the food.
Good food. Something for everybody and quite affordable. Worth getting off the main road for The Diner
I've been to The Dinner the last two times we've visited the gulf. I know it sounds weird to eat burgers at the beach, but I love burgers, and this is a great burger. I'm not a big fan of the sourdough bun, but the meat and trimmings are A #1.
The food is good, but the service is lacking. You better ask for everything you want when your food is brought out, because they won't be back to check on you. When they finally brought the check, and I offered this feedback, I got the excuse that they were short staffed. The entire island is short staffed. Not an excuse for what would have been a 5 second check in. Also, be mindful of what you order if you want to get your money's worth. My 3 tiny pancakes and 4 tiny strips of bacon cost as much as my husband's country fried steak with eggs, toast, and home fries.
I’ve only been here once but it was so good! My day and I really enjoyed our burgers! The service was awesome and so was the food, we will be back!
Have been vacationing for a few days now and this has been the single most fantastic restaurant I've been too. My whole family enjoyed it, the food was almost too good and the staff, including our waitress Kacey, was amazing. Easily gets that 5 star rating.
Stopped in for a quick lunch by myself. There were at least 10 tables of folks who had just arrived so I figured it would be a wait for my food. There are 3 half sandwich with a side options that all sounded great so I ordered the Reuben with a side salad. Extremely quick service! Fantastic sandwich! And my server Kelsey was flawless. I would definitely recommend this place and I want to come back. The food coming out to tables around me looked amazing.
OK, so it's been a month since I ate here and I'm still telling my friends about it! I hankered for shrimp and grits so did the usual Google search on Gulf Shores dining. The best I've ever had -- Charleston restaurants could take some lessons -- with the flavor of smoked Gouda still tantalizing my memory. Informal setting, matchless service, kitchen that loves what it's creating for the table. Definitely on my go-to dining list!
Two American burgers with bacon and a poached egg. This was the best hamburger I have ever had!
Fantastic food! Great staff! We came here twice in 3 days.
Pleasantly delighted. First time here, came for Sunday brunch. Both got Eggs Benedict, very good without my having to tell them to be sure the English Muffin is toasted, egg whites cooked with running yolk. Came great, but no potatoes? Unusual. Did come with asparagus (perfect) and fruit that was delicious-in January! Waiter a bit abrupt but took care of things. We will be back!
Ordered Steve's Burger. Awesome burger. Best burgers around!!!
Had the meatloaf special but was very bland. Once in awhile you could taste some green pepper. Was just warm. Had steaks and burger and chicken salad in the past and was very good. Just wouldn't recommend this.
Don't let the outside fool you. It looks like a run down dive, but the food is really good! We had burgers and fries, and they were fantastic! Especially the fries! My wife had the beans and ham soup and was a little disappointed. The waiter was very nice and helpful. Overall, a pleasant experience.
My daughter and I tried THREE other restaurants in March starting at 5pm. One had a two hour wait, another one hour, and the last 30 minutes. I happened upon The Diner and they were able to seat us immediately with very prompt service. The server, while not personable, was polite, helpful, and very quick. The menu was easy; offering selections without an overwhelming amount and the prices were fair. I ordered the steak and shrimp boil (I think is what it's called) and it was fantastic. My five year had their chicken strips and fries (of course) and they were great. Our server also went ahead and ordered hers before mine so it could cool and she could eat. Overall, fair price, decent portion size, excellent taste, and FAST!!! even my five year old said, "mom that eat was a really fast eat."
Always great service and great food ever time we’re there which is very often 😉. Breakfast is the best on the Island anywhere. The rest of it just you got to see for yourself it’s delicious.
Went there for breakfast had the ham and cheese omelet. By far was the smallest portion size in the entire gulf area. Left there as hungry as we walked in absolutely would never go back or recommend this place especially if u want to pay tourist price's for mediocre food! Don't waste your money to many great places in OB/GULF SHORESNo! I have not made a mistake this is the right establishment! The 3 egg omelette looks as though it was made with quail eggs (also not very much filling inside either), the potatoes were 4 small slices and bland and one piece of bread (not toasted and not warm) butter would not melt! The potion size looked as though it was a prepared for a child's size plate for 8.00 !!! Frankly I don't appreciate your response by trying to insult my intelligence as if I was not aware of my location!!!! I'm prior Military and know exactly where I'm at all times!
Great place! I always get the Ruben and it's phenomenal. The waitress said that they corn their own beef, maybe that is why it is so good.
Great service and very good food! I had the shrimp and grits, and hubby had open faced beef sandwich. I had some turnip greens, too, excellent flavor. The shrimp were big and cooked perfectly. Our wait staff was outstanding, and so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the blurbs on the menu about the location and the owners - they also serve a full breakfast, so we will definitely be back!
The cheeseburger and shrimp and crab meat risotto were excellent
Wonderful food, wonderful employees. My husband and I took our kids and loved it.
We had lunch on our 1st day in gulf shores. Great food for the price. We plan on getting lunch again today.
Good food, good service and fair prices
Great burger...best I've had!
AWESOME PLACE TO GO!!! Terrific staff!! Greeted, seated and served by the friendliest waitress, we enjoyed her company as much as the food!! The food was amazing! Large portions and great prices! Outstanding cheeseburgers and Ruben's!! Huge onion rings and terrific fries!! Can't say enough good things about our visit!!
Love this place... Great food and good service. I highly recommend The Diner! 👍 Get the Reuben...
As a local, it is one of my go to restaurants! Great food at a great at a price. Service is always top notch and the Sunday brunch is awesome. Blueberry French toast will knock your socks off!
Terrible! Ask for medium egg and it was well done and no yolk to dip in. Toast wasn't buttered. And the potatoes weren't very fresh! The bacon was to crisp and tasted burnt. My friend ordered pancakes and they were cold. The waitstaff we're more interested in the people behind us. Won't ever go back!
The people are great, whether the staff or the other diners. I had a wonderful time as did my family. Great down home service and food.
The food was wonderful! I regretfully must give only 3 stars due to the horrible service my husband and i received. Our waitrees, Daisy, was not at all attentive. In fact, we literally had to flag her down to get a refill on our drinks as well as to order dessert. I tried to contact management for several days but could not ever speak with anyone in a management position. I have never had such horrible service anywhere. That was our third visit there. We live about an hour away. I dont know if we will ever go back.
